Black Rose [Full Ref.]

Species: Earth Pony
Personality: Talkative, Kind, Over Emotional, Passive Aggressive (At Times), Can Be Immature, A bit Flirty, Has a Temper Problem when Pushed being Boiling Point, Creative.
Likes: Being Center of Attention (Colt Attention), Flowers (Specifically Roses), Discovering New Potion Recipes, Poison Joke Effects, Helping, Finding Cures.
Dislikes: Mean/Judgemental Ponies, Failing Potions, Dull Flavored Treats, Not Speaking Her Mind, Bad Mane Days.
Residence: In a cave, deep in the Everfree Forest.
Cutie Mark: It is a simplified rose. Because her coat color is really dark, she is often judged whether her coat color is ugly or she doesn't fit with those around her. The rose symbolizes beauty stating that she IS a beautiful pony, inside and out. Her special talent is potion making using flowers, mainly roses as an ingredient to her mixes and she loves roses! *derp*
Bio: When her mother was younger, she was unhappy with who she had decided to marry and live the rest of her life with. She felt to ever tell her spouse how she felt, so she often left some kind of clue so that he would break up with her instead. One night, she decided to just walk around. She met a colt who seemed very sweet and romantic towards her. The more he flattered her the more she grew to like him until they both had an affair. That night they slept together was the best, but he wasn't as sweet as he seemed. He was very clingy and possessive. Ever since, he's been always asking her to stay with him, following her, often threatening her that he will tel her husband what has been going on between them. Even though she would have wanted something like that to happen, she really did not want to be left alone with this colt. 

She did end up pregnant from her husband, but the colt thought it was his, so he casts an ancient spell causing the pony to have something wrong or different about it so that it would cause problems with her husband. 

When the filly was born, the spell had caused the coat to become nearly black which angered the father. Though the filly had the father's eyes, he denied the filly and demanded a divorce. The mother didn't expect to be so depressed from the divorce and the only colt she could think of was the one she committed adultery with. The mother lived an unhappy life and blamed herself for what she has done to her marriage. She missed her ex-husband and wishes to go back to fix the problem. The mother loved her filly, but was too depressed to tend to her. She often thought about running off, even suicide, but she couldn't leave her filly with that monster she lives with. He wasn't the greatest father since he would leave the nights to do what he does best and wouldn't return for days. So the mother thought of a plan. 

She left her filly in the Everfree Forest, she said her goodbyes and ran off back to the house. The mother knew something about natural medicines and poison and used that knowledge to her advantage killing the colt and herself. 

The filly was found by a Florist pony who was collecting flowers for her shop. She took the filly to her home, raised her as her own and named her Black Rose because, although the rose is black, it is still a beautiful rose. As the filly grew, often she was cut taking flowers and just mixing it with boiled water creating some sort of tea, which the Florist hated. The filly had this passion for mixing spices and flowers into boiling water, which the Florist didn't mind as long as Black Rose picked her own flowers. 

The Florist became really sick and this worried Black Rose. Black Rose had skimmed through books which explained potions and natural medicines but can't remember exactly how to make it. From what the Florist had taught her, she remembered a few key ingredients she could use to possibly make a medicine that will make her feel a little better. She started throwing certain ingredients in a pot, after stirring for a few minutes she serves some for the Florist, but nothing happened. The next day, the Florist was up and feeling normal as if she was never sick! This made Black Rose extremely happy and received her cutie mark! 

After that, she's been reading books about plants and creates potions, medicines, teas, and poisons. She loves making new potions, specially when they work. She tries to make them taste good and for her poisons, she keeps them locked up. She hasn't figured out how to make poison that won't harm ponies and so she keeps them to herself. She does have a shop in which she sells all her potions and is a bit of a success! She sells medicine, potions, prank potions, potions for growth enhancements, teas, poison, which when its purchased, she handles the poison to whatever the reason is for buying poison. 

Yes. She has a lot of mane but that's because her new mane growth enhancing potion she created in her younger years, she tested it on her mane which made her mane grow much longer than needed up to a certain length and every time she would cut a piece, it would grow back. So she just decided to embrace her mane and just tie it up so it stays out of the way. She has no plans on finding the "cure" for her mane.

I like the idea of her being a Potion Maker and stuff but at the same time .... I don't know.
